EloPoly is a computer chess variant based on the well known Monopoly game. Like with Monopoly the goal is to bankrupt EloPoly, your computer opponent, not by money but by elo.

Similarities Monopoly and EloPoly
-
Both EloPoly and Player start with 1500 elo.
-
EloPoly on the board is listed as @ in dark blue.
-
Player on the board is listed as # in dark blue.
-
Passing START adds 200 elo every time.
-
Each of the 8 engines consist of search and evaluation part abbreviated as REBEL-S and REBEL-E and REBEL-SE if you own both.
-
When you have an engine complete you may upgrade your engine max. 5 times, like buying houses in Monopoly increasing the penalty when the opponent is visiting.
-
The number of upgrades are listed as @ for the completed engines of EloPoly and as # with your completed engines, see the picture.
-
When visiting the yellow rating lists (CCRL, CEGT, SPCC) an imaginary random game will be played between each of the 8 engines and depending on the probability of the outcome resulting in a bonus or penalty.
To know
[3] Manage Elo - Sell back engine parts for the same elo you bought them.
[4] Propose Trade - following the above game fragment you can try to get REBEL-E from EloPoly and have another complete engine. You are prompted to type the desired engine, type rebel-e and offer torch-e in return and await if our trade offer is accepted. Input is case independent.
[7] Computer Turn - force EloPoly to play and throw the dice. It's much easier to just press ENTER, it has the same effect.
Hints
1. Modify the ELOPOLY shortcut with the location you installed EloPoly, it will move the screen to a bigger font, playing is more convenient.
2. Your goal is to tear down EloPoly and bring back its total elo (3150 see picture) below zero and win. Make sure you complete engines and start to update them. If not EloPoly will be merciless.
